Hi! My name is Brent Rolland, and I want to be your DJ.

I’m a south side Chicago geek who loves music: I play drums/percussion, write songs, collect albums, and sing every now and then. While my professional background is a combination of design, music and customer service, I came to fig to explore a career that blended all aspects beautifully. The thing I love most about this profession—and the main reason I perform—is the humanitarian aspect it possesses. Being a deejay is a philanthropic, therapeutic thing, as I use music to create distinct atmospheres and to please the crowd I am with. Basically, music makes people happy, and that is why I do what I love and love what I do!

Not only am I a DJ, but I’m also Fig’s office manager. I am delighted and dedicated to ensuring your event is a success from initial contact right down to the last song of your event. With six-plus years of successful events under my belt (and counting!), I am always looking forward to the next celebration.

Favorite music: Old school R&B, soul, funk, classic/smooth jazz, Latin jazz/bossa nova, ’80s/New Wave, ambient/downtempo electronica, and Japanese pop/rock.
